How Twitter Giants Manage Their Time-lines

I came across this wonderful post by Gina A.k.A SuuuuuuuuuuuperG where she portrays how we (average and regular tweeps) should be gentle with twitter’s Giants. A must read post I recommend you to read it. In fact, you all will remember how frustrated you felt whenever you RTed a Giant and he/she never thanked you ( :) ). Anyway, I read it then asked myself, how the Giants manage their time-lines. It must be very tiring to be engaging convos or to answer to all the @ mentions. I think each one of them Giants gets 100+ questions or Hello on a daily basis (LOL).So I have studied some of them incredible tweeps ( @Fhk09, @2morrowknight, @TonyStevens4, @Jason_pollock, @TechZader, @Nonkanya, @MASisMore, @Glitterglitzer, @modelsupplies, @Mistygirlph, @SuuperG, @AskAaronLee, @AdamsConsulting, @GetKiller, @Paul_Steele). And Decided to write what I understood, then went on Interviewing my Twin (you’ll find out  who it is, at the end of the post =P ). So it’s a three days in the making post, I will first discuss what makes them Giants, to understand How a Giant reacts then I will be debating with my twin. No further introduction let’s answer this question:

1-What makes them Giants?

They have mastered the 3 C’s:

  1. Commitment to Help First: If twitter is all about sharing, (in my point of view) Twitter is  all about solutions. You have an issue with your computer, your dog don’t want to eat anymore? You ask for help, you will get answers. You feel bad or in a maze? You read an inspirational tweet.

    2. And The Twitter Giants are the best to ask. You just need to ask and they will 99.99% of the time Answer you or redirect you to somebody else to find a solution to your problem.

  2. Conversations: Engaging Conversations makes feel your followers that you are more human than an annoying bot or a spammer, and helps you make connection throughout the world with amazing people you’d never think of knowing them a day.

    3. Twitter’s Giants talk, oh my God they talk a lot to everybody, beside of helping tweeples, they talk and put smiles in our faces each time they say a word.

  3. Content/Incredible Tweets: They are consistent and share the best things you want to know, available on the net. And only god knows how many interesting pictures, articles, blogs, news, videos, are on the WWW.

  4. Followers Ratio: Whoever tells you that a Giant has 100k+ or even 10k+ followers, is just bull#$@#ing you. I know many tweeps that have only 350 followers or less and that fit in this category. Here they are: @getkiller, @fhk09, @JP2zo, and many more.

2- How Do they Manage Conversations?

The best Way to get an appropriate answer to this question is to ask a Giant. So I had this little public Chat with @AskAaronLee about the issue, then we moved in DMs.

Besides the lists there is another hint @adamsconsulting taught me. She usually answers by a single tweet to all the followers. She engage and replies a lot though, but as she has atleast 200 RTs daily I think that it’s a bit difficult to thank every one. =D

One thing you need to know: Twitter Giants are human beings hence they are all different in their way of managing their Conversations, Tweets, Lists. But they have this thing that makes them different. You want to know what it is? Check SuuuuperG post here
